Soccer Game Benefits Phil Fowler Scholarship Fund On september 16th, 2016, proceeds from donations made at the Lewis Mills vs. Terryville girls' soccer game will go to the Phil Fowler Scholarship Fund. Below is a copy of the program given out at the game. Phil's youngest son, Dennis, teaches and coaches at Lewis Mills, and his middle son, Mark, is the athletic director at Terryville H.S. Donations to the fund have totaled over $15,000 to date. The family plans to give a scholarship to students from Terryville, Litchfield, and Lewis Mills who are planning study in education or in a science/medical field. Alas, Lewis Mills won the soccer game, 4-3. — Contributed by Paul and Patty (Scopino) Nimchek. Paul will be part of the scholarship committee to help Joan and her sons with the program.
